Lawn Maintenance

A great North Texas lawn comes down to consistency: mowing at the right height, crisp edges, feeding at the right times, and watering deep instead of often. Miss a few weeks in May and Bermuda gets away from you; mow St. Augustine too short in July and it scorches.

We take care of the routine work so your yard always looks finished — and we keep an eye out for problems like grubs, brown patch or dry spots before they spread.

What's Included

  • Mowing at the right height for your grass type
  • Edging along sidewalks, driveways and beds
  • String trimming around trees, fences and obstacles
  • Blowing off walks, drives and patios
  • Fertilization timed to the growing season
  • Seasonal cleanup: leaves, beds and debris
Our Process

How It Works

  1. Lawn check

We look at grass type, sun and shade, problem areas and how the yard is used.

  2. Set a plan

Service frequency and seasonal tasks are set up around your lawn and your budget.

  3. Routine visits

Mow, edge, trim and blow on schedule, adjusting mowing height through the seasons.

  4. Seasonal care

Fertilization and cleanups are timed to what North Texas warm-season grasses need.

Local Know-How

A North Texas lawn calendar

Late winter (February to early March): this is the window for pre-emergent weed control before spring weeds germinate. Clean up leaves and debris so the lawn can green up evenly.

Spring (April–May): warm-season grasses wake up. Fertilize once the lawn is actively growing — not before. Mow regularly; Bermuda and Zoysia look best cut short (about 1 to 2 inches), while St. Augustine should stay taller (about 3 to 4 inches).

Summer (June–August): raise mowing height slightly in the heat, water deeply and early in the morning, and watch for chinch bugs in sunny St. Augustine and grubs under brown patches.

Fall (September–November): a second pre-emergent application helps with winter weeds. Keep leaves off the lawn — a thick layer smothers St. Augustine — and watch for brown patch as nights cool.

FAQ

Lawn Maintenance FAQ

How short should I mow my lawn?

It depends on the grass. Bermuda and Zoysia look best around 1 to 2 inches. St. Augustine should be kept taller, around 3 to 4 inches, especially in summer heat.

How often should I water in summer?

Deeply and less often — about an inch of water a week (including rain) in summer, applied early in the morning. Always follow your city's watering schedule.

When should I fertilize a North Texas lawn?

After the lawn has fully greened up and is actively growing in spring, typically April, then again through the growing season. Feeding too early mostly feeds weeds.

Do you offer one-time cleanups?

Yes — seasonal and one-time cleanups are available. Call for a free estimate.
